Auris en Oisan

Auris en Oisans is a mountain village located in the Oisans massif, in the Isère department, close to the Écrins National Park. Perched on a sunny plateau with open views over the Romanche valley, it forms part of the ski area linked to Alpe d'Huez, one of the largest in the French Alps, with easy access via cable car in winter. Beyond the ski season, the area is particularly valued for its numerous hiking trails around the resort, leading through alpine meadows and forests with views over surrounding peaks such as the Grandes Rousses massif. The mountain climate, with generally reliable snow cover in winter and mild summers ideal for outdoor pursuits, makes it a suitable base for both winter sports enthusiasts and hikers seeking peace and natural surroundings.
