Orschwihr

Orschwihr is a small wine-growing village in the Haut-Rhin department, located in Alsace along the wine route, at the foot of the sub-Vosges hills. The vineyards are central to the village's identity, notably including the Pfingstberg Grand Cru, which benefits from favourable sun exposure and limestone soil well suited to viticulture. The village's narrow streets retain traditional half-timbered houses typical of Alsatian architecture. Orschwihr lies close to Guebwiller, Rouffach and Eguisheim, making it a convenient base for exploring other wine-growing localities in the region, as well as Colmar, roughly twenty kilometres away.
