Minori

Minori is a small coastal town in the province of Salerno, on the Amalfi Coast in Campania, Italy. Nestled between the villages of Amalfi and Maiori, it is known for its centuries-old tradition of handmade pasta production, which has earned it the nickname “town of pasta”. The town is also renowned for lemon cultivation, particularly the Sfusato Amalfitano variety grown on the surrounding terraces, used in numerous local specialities including the delicious “delizia al limone”, a dessert said to originate here. The seafront features a pebble beach and a small harbour, surrounded by the colourful houses typical of the Amalfi Coast. Points of interest include the remains of a Roman maritime villa, evidence of the area's ancient origins, as well as the basilica dedicated to Saint Trophimena, the town's patron saint. A coastal promenade links Minori to the neighbouring villages, offering views of the dramatic mountainous scenery characteristic of the region. The mild Mediterranean climate, pleasant throughout much of the year, makes it well suited to seaside activities and leisurely walks along the shore.
