Penne

Penne is a small town in the province of Pescara, in the Abruzzo region, set on a hilltop between the Gran Sasso massif and the Adriatic coast. Known as the 'town of bricks', its historic centre is built almost entirely from terracotta, featuring cobbled lanes, palaces and churches with distinctive red-brick façades. Notable buildings include the Cathedral of Santa Maria degli Angeli and several religious and civic structures reflecting its medieval and Renaissance heritage.
