Porto San Paolo

Porto San Paolo is a small coastal village in north-eastern Sardinia, in the province of Sassari, facing the island of Tavolara. The village's main appeal lies in its beaches: Cala Girgolu and Spiaggia della Tartaruga, with their clear, shallow waters, and the wider, dune-backed Porto Taverna beach. From the small harbour, boat trips run out to the island of Tavolara, an imposing limestone outcrop that dominates the gulf, while the beaches around San Teodoro are also within easy reach. The village itself remains largely a base for enjoying the coastline, with few organised activities beyond swimming and boat excursions.
