Sant Carles Peralta

Sant Carles de Peralta is a village in north-eastern Ibiza, part of the municipality of Santa Eulària des Riu in the Balearic Islands. It retains a peaceful, rural character, marked by a whitewashed church typical of Ibizan architecture and quiet streets lined with traditional houses. The village is best known for the Las Dalias market, a legacy of the hippie presence of the 1960s and 1970s, offering handicrafts, textiles and local produce, and remaining a regular fixture popular with both residents and visitors. The surrounding area provides access to several well-regarded coves along Ibiza's east coast, including Cala Mastella, Cala Boix and Aigües Blanques beach, valued for their clear waters and unspoilt natural setting. The rural landscape nearby, dotted with olive and fig trees alongside pines, is well suited to walking or cycling away from the island's busier tourist hubs. The Mediterranean climate, with hot dry summers and mild winters, allows visits throughout much of the year. Sant Carles therefore serves as a calm base from which to explore the island's more authentic side.
