Les Carroz d'Araches

Les Carroz d'Araches is a village resort in Haute-Savoie, sitting at around 1,140 metres above sea level at the foot of the Faucigny massif, with open views over the Mont Blanc range. It serves as one of the gateways to the Grand Massif ski area, a vast network linked to the resorts of Flaine, Morillon, Samoëns and Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, offering more than 265 km of pistes in winter. The lift network makes it easy to reach Flaine, whose modernist architecture contrasts with the traditional chalets of Les Carroz, and where visitors can stop for a break at the Marlow restaurant, a popular spot for a pause during a day on the slopes. In summer, the resort becomes a base for hiking and mountain biking, with a network of marked trails crossing alpine pastures and pine forests. The village retains a genuine mountain character, with its timber-and-stone houses, local market and small shops.
