Morillon Village

Morillon Village, in the Haute-Savoie region, is a traditional Savoyard village at the heart of the Grand Massif ski area, close to Samoëns and Les Gets. In summer, the surrounding mountains are ideal for walking: the Cirque de Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, reached via the neighbouring village of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, offers a well-known route to the spot known as 'le bout du monde', continuing up to the Vogealle refuge and lake, set among cliffs and waterfalls. Walkers also enjoy the Lac Bleu and Lac aux Dames near Samoëns, two accessible mountain lakes known for their calm waters. In winter, Morillon is part of the Grand Massif lift pass linking several resorts, including Les Gets, and hosts a torchlight ski descent, a traditional end-of-season event held on the slopes. With its typical chalets and alpine pastures, the village retains an authentic feel, away from the bustle of larger resorts, while still offering direct access to the slopes and surrounding trails, suitable for families and more experienced hikers alike.
