Geneva

Geneva lies on the shore of Lake Geneva, at the foot of the Alps and close to the Mont Blanc massif. The city is known for its Jet d'Eau fountain, visible from the lakeside promenades, as well as its hillside old town, home to St Pierre Cathedral. The Nations district, with the Palace of Nations and the headquarters of several international organisations such as the UN and the ICRC, gives Geneva its distinctly cosmopolitan character.
