Les Gets

Les Gets is a mountain resort located in Haute-Savoie, in the Chablais massif, close to Mont Blanc. As part of the Portes du Soleil ski area, one of the largest in Europe, it offers access in winter to numerous slopes linking France and Switzerland, suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers. The village has retained an authentic alpine character, with traditional wooden chalets and a church featuring a distinctive onion-domed bell tower, typical of Savoyard architecture. In summer, the resort turns to downhill mountain biking, with a well-regarded bike park, as well as walking and hiking amid high-altitude meadows and forests. Les Gets is also home to a mechanical music museum, reflecting a local tradition linked to instrument-making. The village offers shops, restaurants and facilities geared towards year-round tourism, with a friendly, family atmosphere. The mountain climate, with snowy winters and mild summers, makes it a popular destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts, set within an unspoilt natural environment in the Northern Alps.
