Paris Defense

Paris la Défense, a business district to the west of the capital, makes a convenient base for exploring Paris and its landmark sights. The Eiffel Tower, particularly striking at sunset or illuminated at night, remains the quintessential visit, alongside the Louvre, which is free for EU residents under 26. Sacré-Cœur, Les Invalides and the Panthéon round out the major historical sites.
