Navata

Navata is a small municipality in the Alt Empordà comarca, in the province of Girona, Catalonia. Located just a few kilometres from Figueres, this typical rural village in inland Catalonia offers a peaceful setting, surrounded by agricultural plains and the first foothills of the Pyrenees. Its location makes it a convenient base for exploring the wider region: Figueres, famous for the Dalí Theatre-Museum, lies close by, as does the city of Girona with its old town and cathedral. The Costa Brava, with its coves and Mediterranean beaches, is also reachable within about thirty minutes' drive. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters, is well suited to outdoor pursuits such as hiking, cycling and exploring the surrounding villages.
