Estepona

Estepona is a coastal town on the Costa del Sol, in the province of Málaga, Andalusia. Nicknamed the 'garden of the Costa del Sol' for its flower-lined streets and geranium pots adorning the whitewashed façades of its old town, it retains a traditional historic centre with narrow lanes, the Plaza de las Flores, and several murals, notably along Calle Real. The seafront stretches for several kilometres along La Rada beach, flanked by a working fishing harbour and a modern marina, Puerto Deportivo, home to numerous restaurants and bars. Local cuisine centres on seafood, particularly fried fish and fresh shellfish. The surrounding area also boasts numerous golf courses, playable year-round thanks to the mild Mediterranean climate. The nearby Selwo Aventura wildlife park adds to the area's tourist appeal. Estepona remains a popular destination for its authentic Andalusian atmosphere, being less built-up than some of its neighbouring towns along the coast.
