Port Cogolin

Port Cogolin is a marina located in the commune of Cogolin, in the Var department, at the head of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Connected to the Mediterranean Sea via a navigable channel, it offers several hundred moorings and serves as a convenient base for exploring the Saint-Tropez peninsula, just a few kilometres away, as well as the neighbouring villages of Gassin and Grimaud. The area enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers ideal for water-based activities such as sailing, paddleboarding, and boat trips to Pampelonne beach or the islands of Port-Cros and Porquerolles. Cogolin itself, the wider town the marina belongs to, retains a recognised craft heritage, particularly in the traditional manufacture of briar wood pipes and carpets, both long-standing local trades. The surrounding area also features Provençal markets, restaurants serving Mediterranean specialities, and easy access to inland Var, known for its vineyards and hilltop villages. Port Cogolin therefore offers a quiet residential or holiday base, within easy reach of the buzz of the French Riviera.
