Massa Lubrense

Massa Lubrense sits at the tip of the Sorrentine Peninsula, between Naples and the Amalfi Coast, with Punta della Campanella marking its furthest point facing Capri. The village retains a genuinely local atmosphere: on the main square, weekend concerts on Saturdays and Sundays draw a mix of children playing and locals chatting over ice cream or dinner. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking, with trails leading to Marina di Crapolla or Spiaggia delle Monache, two coastal spots reachable on foot though requiring a fair bit of effort. Its central position makes it easy to reach Sorrento with its small volcanic-sand beaches, as well as Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius, Naples, and further along the coast, Positano and Amalfi. Boat trips to the island of Capri can also be arranged nearby.
