Llanca

Llançà is a coastal town in the Alt Empordà region of the Costa Brava, close to the French border, known for its fishing harbour and seafront promenade. The Camí de Ronda coastal path, which runs along the cliffs and the hill overlooking the port, reveals hidden coves and sweeping Mediterranean views as it connects Llançà to neighbouring villages within the Cap de Creus area. Nearby, the Benedictine monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, set high on the Serra de Rodes ridge, offers a striking outlook over the bay and the Cap de Creus massif, making it a well worth cultural excursion from the town. Further south, the resorts of Empuriabrava and Roses add to the area's appeal with sandy beaches and a wide choice of water sports, including sailing, diving, jet-skiing and paddleboarding, thanks to the sheltered waters of the Bay of Roses. Llançà itself retains an authentic feel, with its old town centre and local market contrasting with the liveliness of the summer coastline.
