Cambrils

Cambrils is a seaside resort on the Costa Dorada, in the province of Tarragona, known for its fine sandy beaches and its still-active fishing harbour, around which numerous seafood restaurants have developed over the years. The town retains the feel of a traditional fishing village, with a seafront promenade stretching several kilometres, popular for walking and cycling. Cambrils also makes a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area: PortAventura World, one of the largest theme parks in Europe, lies just a few kilometres away in the neighbouring town of Salou, drawing large numbers of visitors each year for its rides and themed zones. The city of Tarragona, with its noted Roman heritage, is also within easy reach. The region's Mediterranean climate supports a long tourist season, from spring through to autumn. Beyond its proximity to major attractions, Cambrils is chiefly valued for its relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, local seafood cuisine and quiet coastal setting.
