Antheor

Antheor is a small coastal hamlet within the commune of Le Trayas, part of Saint-Raphaël, in the Var department, along the Corniche d'Or road linking Saint-Raphaël to Cannes. Nestled between the volcanic Estérel massif and the Mediterranean Sea, the area is notable for its railway viaduct spanning the valley, as well as its distinctive red porphyry rocks that contrast strikingly with the blue sea. The small beach at Antheor, a mix of pebbles and sand, together with its sheltered cove, provides a good spot for swimming and scuba diving, the area being popular for its rocky seabed. The Estérel massif, a protected natural area, offers numerous walking trails with coastal views, including routes towards the Cap Roux peak and the Pointe de l'Observatoire. The Corniche d'Or road itself is a scenic route well-liked by drivers and cyclists alike. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers, draws visitors during the warmer months. Antheor remains a quiet, low-key spot, generally calmer than neighbouring resorts, valued for its unspoilt natural surroundings.
