Auberville

Auberville is a small village in Calvados, tucked away on the Côte Fleurie between Houlgate and Cabourg, in the heart of the Pays d'Auge. The village benefits from its close proximity to the fine sandy beaches of Houlgate and Dives-sur-Mer, as well as the region's lively markets. A short drive away, the Vaches Noires cliffs provide a striking natural setting for walking, while the Christian Drouin farm offers an insight into the traditional production of cider and calvados typical of the Pays d'Auge. In Houlgate, the restaurant "Aux bains fleuris" is well regarded for its carefully prepared cuisine in a welcoming setting. Nearby Cabourg, made famous by Marcel Proust, is home to the museum "La Villa du temps retrouvé", dedicated to the writer and the Belle Époque era. In Dives-sur-Mer, the historic Port Guillaume is a particularly pleasant spot for an evening stroll at sunset. The coastline, stretching from Houlgate to Honfleur, offers a varied landscape of cliffs, beaches and typical Norman villages.
