Dinard

Dinard, a seaside resort on the Emerald Coast in Ille-et-Vilaine, is best explored on foot, along coastal walkways such as the Promenade du Clair de Lune and the Promenade de la Ronde, lined with early 20th-century seaside villas. Les Rosaires beach and the GR coastal footpath offer sweeping sea views and notably fine sunsets over the water. The Dinard covered market remains a popular stop, offering a wide range of local produce alongside a few small independent makers. For a bite to eat, the Chez le Sarrazin crêperie serves traditional Breton galettes, often paired with a bowl of cider. From Dinard, a passenger ferry crosses to Saint-Malo in just a few minutes, where the ramparts, the Petit Bé and Grand Bé islets, an aquarium and a small zoo are all worth a visit. Day trips to Jersey are also available from the town, along with a classic excursion to Mont-Saint-Michel.
