Arzon

Arzon sits at the tip of the Rhuys peninsula in the Morbihan department, at the entrance to the Gulf of Morbihan. The town is best known for the marina at Port du Crouesty, one of the largest on the Atlantic coast, which attracts sailors and offers boat connections to the gulf's islands, including Île aux Moines. The coastline combines sandy beaches such as Le Fogeo and Kerver with sheltered coves and coastal footpaths offering views across the gulf and out to the ocean. The Pointe de Bilgroix, at the peninsula's tip, is a popular spot for taking in where the gulf meets the Atlantic. The mild oceanic climate supports outdoor pursuits for much of the year, from sailing and kayaking to walking and cycling along the coastal paths. Nearby Vannes and La Trinité-sur-Mer make for easy day trips within the region. Arzon retains a largely residential, seaside character, with visitor numbers rising noticeably during the summer months, while remaining a convenient base for exploring the Gulf of Morbihan and its islands.
