St-Philibert

Saint-Philibert is a village in Morbihan, on the peninsula bordering the Gulf of Morbihan, between La Trinité-sur-Mer and Locmariaquer. It is known for its oyster farming, carried out along the Rivière de Crac'h, producing oysters well regarded throughout the region. The village retains an authentic Breton character, with a small harbour and oyster beds visible from the coastal footpath that follows the shoreline and offers views over the gulf. Its proximity to Carnac and its megalithic alignments, as well as to Locmariaquer with its listed prehistoric monuments, makes it a convenient base for exploring Morbihan's archaeological heritage.
