Pleubian

Pleubian is a village in the Trégor area of the Côtes-d'Armor, in northern Brittany, known for its rugged coastline and the Sillon de Talbert, a long sand-and-shingle spit protected as a regional nature reserve and popular for low-tide walks and coastal wildlife spotting. The commune sits on a headland between the English Channel and the Trieux estuary, offering typical northern Breton scenery of coves, salt marshes and oyster beds, oyster farming being a traditional local activity. The area around the sillon and nearby shores is also well suited to shellfish gathering at low tide. For a meal, the family-run Crêperie du Moulin à Mer serves galettes and crêpes at a price considered good value. Pleubian lies close to Paimpol and the ferry crossing to the Île de Bréhat, making it a convenient base for exploring the Pink Granite Coast and the wider Trégor region. The mild oceanic climate, fairly temperate throughout the year, encourages outdoor pursuits such as coastal walking and cycling.
