Le Pradet

Le Pradet is a town in the Var department, located on the peninsula stretching between Toulon and Carqueiranne, right on the Mediterranean coast. The area is known for its sandy beaches, such as Bau Rouge and Les Oursinières, as well as quieter coves reached via the coastal footpath. The Cap Garonne Mining Museum, a former copper mine turned visitor site, is a distinctive local attraction. The landscape features wooded hills covered in umbrella pines and holm oaks, offering several viewpoints over the Toulon roadstead and, on clear days, towards the Hyères islands. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters, makes outdoor activities possible for much of the year, including hiking, diving and watersports. Its proximity to Toulon provides easy access to shops, transport links and urban amenities, while Le Pradet itself retains a residential, family-friendly character, set apart from the busier tourist resorts found elsewhere along the Var coastline.
