La Plagne Centre

La Plagne Centre, a village resort standing at around 1,970 metres above sea level in Savoie, forms the heart of the La Plagne ski area, part of the wider Paradiski domain linked to Les Arcs via the Vanoise Express cable car. The altitude and snow cover give access to the glacier sector, often referred to as the 3000 glacier area, which offers sweeping views over the surrounding mountains and allows skiing for much of the year. Families particularly enjoy the Forêt des Lutins, a playful woodland activity area, along with runs such as the Murs piste and the Rochette piste, suited to various skill levels. Thrill-seekers can also head to the Buffalo Park, a freestyle area with jumps and features for riders. Beyond the slopes, La Plagne lies within the Aime canton, known for its mountain dairy produce: the Aime dairy cooperative, valued for the quality of its products and its warm welcome, offers a chance to sample Beaufort cheese and other local specialities. La Plagne Centre therefore serves as a convenient base for exploring both the ski area and the valley's culinary traditions.
