Linguizzetta

Linguizzetta is a village in Haute-Corse, on the eastern coast of Corsica, within the area often referred to as the Costa Verde. Partly perched above the coastline, the village overlooks Bravone beach, known for its fine sand and calm waters typical of this eastern shore, which is generally more sheltered from the wind than Corsica's western coast. The surrounding countryside features Mediterranean scrubland and the first wooded hills, offering good opportunities for walking and exploring the island's natural landscape. The eastern plain here has traditionally been given over to agriculture, with vineyards and citrus orchards shaping the scenery. Nearby, the ancient site of Aléria, with its Roman remains and archaeological museum, provides a point of historical interest for the region. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters, makes outdoor activities possible for much of the year. Linguizzetta remains a quiet destination, valued for its unspoilt natural setting between sea and mountains, away from the busier resort towns elsewhere on the island.
