Villefranche-sur-Mer

Villefranche-sur-Mer is a town in the Alpes-Maritimes department, on the French Riviera, known for its deep natural harbour lined by an old town with steep, narrow streets, including the famous Rue Obscure. The 16th-century Saint-Elme citadel overlooks the fishing port, while the Saint-Pierre chapel, decorated by Jean Cocteau, adds to the local heritage. The town has seafront beaches offering swimming and relaxation with views over the bay.
