Bolquere Pyrenees 2000

Bolquère Pyrénées 2000 is a mountain resort in the Capcir-Cerdagne area of the Pyrénées-Orientales, set against the massif and close to Font-Romeu. The village is home to Bolquère-Eyne station, served by the Train Jaune (Little Yellow Train), reputed to be the highest railway station in France and a popular stop for those exploring this iconic line running from Villefranche-de-Conflent to Latour-de-Carol. In winter, the ski slopes and crisp mountain air draw snow sports enthusiasts, with an evening torchlight descent sometimes organised on the resort. Nearby, Font-Romeu offers a tree-top adventure park often rated as a must-do activity for all ages, as well as a bowling alley for less sunny days. The surrounding area also lends itself to walking and exploring the traditional villages of Cerdagne, with numerous viewpoints over the neighbouring peaks. Not far away, Lac des Bouillouses, reached via a mountain road, makes for a popular excursion thanks to its high-altitude scenery and hiking trails. Altogether, the resort combines unspoilt nature, outdoor activities and a notable railway heritage.
