Puy St-Vincent 1800

Puy-Saint-Vincent 1800 is one of the altitude resorts within the Puy-Saint-Vincent ski area, located in the Écrins massif in the Hautes-Alpes department. Built as a balcony resort facing the Pelvoux peak and surrounding glaciers, it offers direct ski-in/ski-out access to the slopes. The ski area spans from 1400 to 2700 metres, with runs suited to various levels, from beginner slopes to more technical routes for experienced skiers. Its immediate proximity to the Écrins National Park makes this area a popular starting point for mountain activities throughout the year, with hiking and mountain biking taking over from skiing during the summer months. The resort's architecture reflects typical mid-mountain construction from the 1970s and 80s, prioritising functionality and easy access to the lifts. The nearby, older hamlet of Puy-Saint-Vincent retains a more traditional character, with its stone-built houses. The region benefits from abundant sunshine, a hallmark of the Hautes-Alpes, and an unspoilt natural setting of larch forests and alpine peaks.
