Foux d'Allos

La Foux d'Allos is a mountain resort located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region, at the heart of the Val d'Allos valley, close to the Mercantour National Park. Together with Pra-Loup, it forms the Espace Lumière ski area, one of the largest in the southern Alps. The village, built at altitude, offers direct access to the slopes and serves as a convenient base for exploring the surrounding peaks. The Autapie chairlift provides easy access to this part of the ski area, offering panoramic views over the nearby ridges and valleys, useful both for winter skiing and for summer hiking and mountain biking. Thanks to its elevation, the resort generally enjoys reliable snow cover, while its mid-mountain setting lends itself to a range of outdoor activities throughout the year, including walking, paragliding, and simply taking in the typical landscapes of the Haute-Provence Alps. The proximity of the Val d'Allos and its neighbouring villages also allows for varied walks and viewpoints. La Foux d'Allos therefore remains a versatile destination, combining winter sports with summer mountain tourism.
