Combleux

Combleux is a small village in the Loiret department, located a few kilometres east of Orléans, at the confluence of the Canal d'Orléans and the Loire river. This geographical position makes it a popular stop along the Loire à Vélo cycling route, which passes through the village and provides easy access to Orléans and other villages along the Loire. The village retains a peaceful, rural character, with traditional houses and a green, waterside setting. The Canal d'Orléans, now mainly used for leisure boating and recreational activities, adds to the charm of the area and offers a pleasant setting for walking or cycling. The nearby Loire river, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its landscapes, is a further draw for exploring the region at a relaxed pace. Combleux remains a low-key destination, better suited to a quiet, nature-focused stay than intensive urban tourism, while still offering quick access to the amenities and attractions of Orléans, the nearby departmental capital.
