Chaumes en retz

Chaumes-en-Retz is a commune in the south of the Loire-Atlantique department (44), formed in 2016 through the merger of several former communes in the Pays de Retz region. Located just a few kilometres from the Atlantic coast and the town of Pornic, it offers a typically rural setting, with hedgerow farmland, cultivated fields and small hamlets. The area retains a strong agricultural character while benefiting from its proximity to Nantes, less than an hour away, and to the beaches of the Côte de Jade. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful environment, ideal for walking or cycling along country lanes, along with easy access to local markets and nearby shops.
