Montrevault sur evre

Montrevault-sur-Èvre is a town in the Maine-et-Loire département, formed in 2016 through the merger of several villages in the Mauges area of the Loire Valley. Crossed by the River Èvre, it features the gently rolling countryside typical of the Angevin bocage, ideal for walking or cycling along the riverside paths. The remains of Montrevault's medieval castle still overlook the valley, offering a glimpse into the area's history. The largely rural surroundings combine small villages, farmland and vineyards, close to the Nantes wine region famous for Muscadet. The town makes a peaceful base for exploring the Pays de la Loire, with local heritage, village markets and unspoilt countryside all close at hand. It lies within easy reach of Angers, Cholet and Nantes, allowing for day trips to major Loire Valley attractions while enjoying a quiet, green setting. The temperate oceanic climate makes for a pleasant stay throughout much of the year, with mild summers and gentle winters well suited to outdoor pursuits such as walking and cycling.
