Vivy

Vivy is a village in the Maine-et-Loire department, in the Pays de la Loire region, just a few kilometres from Saumur, a town well known for its château, its cavalry school and its sparkling wine houses. The village lies within the Loire Valley landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage site, amid vineyard-covered hillsides and the banks of the Loire River. This location makes it easy to explore the main tourist attractions of Anjou and Touraine, including the Loire châteaux, troglodyte caves carved into the local tuffeau stone, and the Saumur-Champigny vineyards. The region enjoys a mild oceanic climate, ideal for outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling along the Loire à Vélo route, or traditional boat trips on the river. Being close to Saumur also means easy access to local markets, restaurants serving regional Angevin produce, and a rich architectural heritage combining white stone and slate roofs.
