Feneu

Feneu is a village in the Maine-et-Loire department, around fifteen kilometres north of Angers, on the banks of the River Mayenne. It lies within the Basses Vallées Angevines, an extensive area of flood meadows recognised for its ecological importance and its role as a habitat for migratory birds, making it a pleasant spot for nature lovers and walkers. The village retains a typically rural Anjou character, with stone-built houses and a parish church. The nearby river offers pleasant riverside walks and cycling routes connecting the surrounding villages. Feneu is also close to the Anjou vineyards, known for their white and rosé wines, and is within easy reach of Angers, where visitors can explore its historic heritage, museums and lively town centre.
