Le lion d angers

Le Lion d'Angers is a town in the Maine-et-Loire department, on the edge of the Anjou region, crossed by the River Oudon, which later joins the Mayenne. The town is particularly known for its national stud farm, which hosts a major international young horse championship each year, drawing equestrian enthusiasts from across the world. The Île Saint-Jean woodland, a landscaped riverside area, provides a pleasant setting for walks, picnics and outdoor activities. The town retains the typical rural character of the Segréen area, with local shops and a market. The surrounding countryside, dotted with green valleys and small Angevin châteaux, is ideal for exploring by bike or on foot, particularly along the riverside paths. Le Lion d'Angers makes a peaceful base for discovering the northern Maine-et-Loire, around twenty kilometres from Angers, combining equestrian heritage, unspoilt nature and the gentle pace of Angevin life, all within a temperate oceanic climate suited to visits throughout the year.
