Les ponts de ce

Les Ponts-de-Cé is a town in the Maine-et-Loire department, just south of Angers, crossed by several branches of the Loire and Authion rivers. The town takes its name from the historic bridges linking its islands, creating a distinctive riverside setting. The medieval castle, with its keep, still overlooks the landscape, a reminder of the site's former strategic importance as a river crossing. The Loire à Vélo cycle route passes through the town, offering pleasant rides along the river and towards the surrounding vineyards, including those of the Anjou appellation. The town retains a genuine Loire Valley character, with its quays, landscaped riverbanks and a popular waterside guinguette during the warmer months. Its close proximity to Angers means visitors can enjoy the shops, markets and cultural events of the regional capital while staying in a quieter, riverside setting.
