Brain sur allonnes

Brain-sur-Allonnes is a village in the Maine-et-Loire department, in the Pays de la Loire region, just a few kilometres from Saumur, at the heart of the Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The village offers a typically rural Anjou setting, surrounded by farmland and close to the Saumur-Champigny vineyards, known for their red wines and troglodyte cellars carved into the local tuffeau stone. Its location provides easy access to the main tourist attractions of the Loire Valley, including Saumur Castle, Fontevraud Abbey and the town of Montsoreau, all within half an hour's drive. Cycling enthusiasts can enjoy the Loire à Vélo route, which passes through the area, offering scenic rides along the river and through the surrounding wine villages. The mild oceanic climate brings gentle summers and relatively soft winters, making it a pleasant destination throughout the year.
