Dreffeac

Dreffeac is a small village in the Loire-Atlantique department, in the Pays de la Loire region, close to the Brière Regional Nature Park and its well-known marshland. This countryside setting offers a peaceful environment, typical of the Brière bocage landscape, ideal for walking or cycling along rural lanes and traditional canals. The village lies just a few kilometres from Pontchâteau and Saint-Nazaire, providing convenient access to the Loire estuary and the Atlantic coast, including La Baule, around twenty minutes away by car. Nature lovers will appreciate the nearby Grande Brière, France's second-largest wetland area, renowned for its traditional thatched cottages, flat-bottomed boats and protected wildlife. Dreffeac therefore makes a quiet base from which to explore both the Brière hinterland and the coastline, set within an unspoilt rural environment away from the tourist crowds, while still being within reasonable reach of the urban amenities of Saint-Nazaire or Nantes.
