Pontgouin

Pontgouin is a small village in the Eure-et-Loir department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, located around twenty kilometres west of Chartres, on the edge of the Perche area. The village is crossed by the River Eure and borders the Senonches state forest, a large woodland area ideal for walking, hiking and nature watching. The rural, gently rolling landscape typical of the Perche provides a peaceful setting for countryside breaks, while remaining within easy reach of Chartres, a city renowned for its UNESCO World Heritage-listed cathedral, Notre-Dame de Chartres.
