Dammarie

Dammarie is a small rural commune in the Eure-et-Loir department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, sitting on the edge of the Perche area, not far from Nogent-le-Rotrou. This gently rolling countryside, typical of the Perche bocage landscape, offers a peaceful, green setting well suited to nature lovers and walkers. The surrounding area showcases classic Percheron scenery, with hedgerows, meadows and traditional farmhouses. Nearby Nogent-le-Rotrou provides easy access to shops, services and a richer historical heritage, including the Saint-Jean castle. The region is also known for breeding the Percheron horse, a breed emblematic of the area. The climate is a degraded oceanic type, with mild summers and cool, moderate winters.
