Bajonnette

Bajonnette is a small rural village in the Gers department, in the Occitanie region of southwest France, set within the gently rolling countryside of Lomagne. This area is known for its agricultural landscapes of sunflower fields, vineyards and orchards, and the village itself retains a traditional Gascon character, with stone houses and tiled roofs set in a peaceful, unspoilt environment. The surrounding countryside offers plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling, along with the chance to explore nearby villages such as Lectoure or Fleurance, both known for their historic bastide heritage. The Gers region is also a notable gastronomic destination, famous for local specialities including foie gras, Armagnac brandy and Côtes de Gascogne wines.
