Lannepax

Lannepax is a small rural village in the Gers department, in the Occitanie region, set at the heart of Armagnac country between Condom and Eauze. This gently rolling landscape, crossed by the Baïse river and its tributaries, is known for its vineyards producing Armagnac brandy and Côtes de Gascogne wines, as well as for its rolling hills, sunflower fields and traditional South-West bastide villages. The village retains a peaceful character, with its church and stone houses typical of Gascon architecture. The surrounding countryside offers plenty of opportunities for walking or cycling, along with visits to wine estates and Armagnac distilleries open to the public. The mild, sunny climate makes it particularly pleasant to visit during the warmer months. Nearby towns such as Condom and Eauze, with their historic heritage and local markets, add further interest to the area. Lannepax therefore makes a quiet base from which to explore the authentic Gers countryside, combining good food, vineyards and unspoilt nature away from the bustle of city life.
