Mirepoix

Mirepoix is a small village in the Gers department, in the heart of Gascony, set within the gently rolling countryside typical of south-western France. This rural area, shaped by farming and soft hills, offers a peaceful, green setting far removed from urban bustle. The Gers region is well known for its gastronomy, particularly Armagnac brandy, foie gras and duck dishes, widely available at local markets and farmhouse inns.
