Mouchan

Mouchan is a small rural village in the Gers department, in Occitania, located in the Condomois area just a few kilometres from Condom. This part of Gascony is characterised by rolling hills, vineyards and traditional farmhouses typical of the Gers countryside. The village lies close to Flaran Abbey, one of the most notable Cistercian monuments in the department, as well as to vineyards producing Armagnac and Côtes de Gascogne wine, two of the region's signature appellations. The climate is mild, with Atlantic influences supporting a mixed farming landscape of cereal crops, vineyards and livestock. Mouchan offers a peaceful, green setting, well suited to countryside walks and exploring rural Gascon heritage. From here, visitors can easily reach Condom, a historic town built around its cathedral and timber-framed houses, as well as other Gers villages recognised among France's most beautiful.
