Paulhe

Paulhe is a small village in the Aveyron department, in the Occitanie region of southern France, located in the Tarn valley not far from Millau. The surrounding area lies within the Grands Causses territory, a landscape of limestone plateaus, gorges and steep valleys well suited to outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing and canoeing on the Tarn river. Its proximity to Millau, famous for its iconic motorway viaduct, provides easy access to shops and services while maintaining a peaceful, natural setting. The region also has a strong agricultural and pastoral heritage, producing local specialities such as Roquefort cheese, made in the natural caves of Roquefort-sur-Soulzon a few kilometres away. The climate is semi-continental with Mediterranean influences, bringing hot, dry summers and cooler winters typical of the southern foothills of the Massif Central. Paulhe thus serves as a quiet base for exploring the Causses landscapes and the Tarn gorges, combining unspoilt natural scenery with genuine rural Aveyron character.
