Hirsingue

Hirsingue is a village in the Haut-Rhin department, located in the Sundgau, a rural area of southern Alsace crossed by the River Ill. This gently rolling landscape, dotted with woodland and numerous fishponds, is known for its peaceful setting and long-standing fish-farming tradition, particularly fried carp, a signature Sundgau dish served in several local inns. Hirsingue lies close to Altkirch, the area's main administrative and service centre, and within about twenty minutes of Mulhouse.
