Traubach le bas

Traubach-le-Bas is a small village in the Haut-Rhin department, located in the Sundgau region of Alsace, not far from Altkirch and around thirty kilometres from Mulhouse. This gently rolling landscape, dotted with woodlands, meadows and numerous ponds, offers a peaceful rural setting ideal for relaxing stays and countryside walks. Its proximity to the Swiss border and the Basel area makes it a convenient base for exploring both traditional Alsatian half-timbered villages and the cross-border landscapes of the Jura Alsacien. The Sundgau region is also known for its local cuisine, particularly fried carp served at the many pond-side restaurants, alongside regional specialities such as kougelhopf and choucroute.
