Ranspach

Ranspach is a village in the Haut-Rhin department, nestled in the Doller valley at the heart of the Vosges mountains and the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park. This mountainous setting, characterised by dense forests and green ridges, makes it a popular spot for walking and mountain biking throughout the year. The nearby Vosges summits also allow for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing during the winter months. The village retains an authentic rural character, with traditional housing typical of Alsatian valleys. The surrounding area provides easy access to notable natural sites, including the Vosges ridgeline and its panoramic viewpoints. The nearby town of Masevaux, somewhat livelier, offers additional shops and services to round off a stay. The region is also known for its Alsatian cuisine, featuring tarte flambée, local charcuterie and regional wines.
