Ste croix en plaine

Sainte-Croix-en-Plaine is a village in the Haut-Rhin department, in Alsace, a few kilometres south of Colmar. Set within the Alsace plain, it offers a peaceful rural setting while remaining close to major roads and the city of Colmar, reachable within around ten minutes. The village is notably home to Colmar-Houssen aerodrome, used for leisure aviation. The surrounding countryside is typical of the Alsace plain, featuring farmland and easy access to the Alsace vineyards and the famous Route des Vins, which winds through numerous picturesque half-timbered villages in the region. Nearby Colmar allows visitors to discover its historic centre, the Petite Venise district and its many museums. The region's semi-continental climate brings warm, dry summers, ideal for outdoor activities such as cycling along Alsace's well-established cycle paths or exploring the wine villages nearby.
